Aer fit pack 2 backpack review3/20/2023 ![]() If they made a 19l or 20l version that could stand on it's own and had larger water bottle pockets, that'd probably be my perfect bag. I found these others to lack either the external water bottle holder (I love my water) or were just as bulky/heavy but liked the materials less. I compared this to the CPL24, CHZ22 and Modern Dayfarer packs, which also might fit similar use-cases. The free standing nature of that bag is appealing, but lack of this is not a deal breaker for me. I debated between this and the tech pack 2 as I generally prefer half zip bags that are wider at the bottom and tapered (although you do lose some space for this) for better fit on my body. External water holder, great materials/design and more than enough space are what drew me to this bag. ![]() It isn't the perfect bag for me, but it's pretty close. Haven't tested on flight yet, but I do think it should fit under seat no problem (USA domestic) It means I'm storing more in the main compartment Wish it ran down the full length, but not a big impact for me. Magnetic chest strap (some love it, some hate it)įront pocket with organization only goes down HALF the bag (to save space for front pocket). Organization could be a little better - could have a few more pockets for things like pens, charger, etc. Also it's only on one side, so you're stuck with placement You won't fit a wide nalgene or larger hydroflask. Water bottle holder stretches, but only to a point. I feel like 20l or 22l might actually be better. I'm not convinced I need the full 24l for my use case. It's fine but not the most aesthetic to wear when fully packed imo ![]() The form factor is a little too "square" - I wish it was slightly shorter (like the fit pack 3) to fit my back betterĭue to size, it feels a little blocky (see above) and bulky on my back. Plenty of space for all my gear - laptop, charger, notebook, tablet, tech accessories, water bottle, hoodie or jacket + snacks Water bottle holder stretches to fit (barely) my 30oz hydroflask Organization is good, I love the small side pocket for keys and such Separate laptop compartment is very padded and fits my 15" MSI gaming laptop no problem Xpac material is really nice and reduces the weight (this is one of aers lightest bags, despite being larger)įully waterproof gives peace of mind (due to xpac material) When I travel I also bring a smaller tablet and larger bluetooth headphones (around ear).Īer straps and harness are very comfortable and paddedīack is well ventilated, I don't get too sweaty with it My loadout includes: 15" MSI gaming laptop + beefy charger, tech charger accessories, small notebook, few pens, 2x cell phones (work & personal), 30oz Hydroflask water bottle, light hoodie or jacket, snacks and small items like car keys. I was previously using the Aer Fit Pack 3, which I LOVE, but felt the size was being maxed out by everything below, and also the duffel zip compartment wasn't very convenient for office setting to get things out of it. I've had it for just under 2 weeks, using it as my EDC work bag for office trips and will use it for my personal flying item as well. Seeing a lot of people talk about this pack, so figured I'd weigh in with my thoughts having ordered one when it was released.
